Reena will be two years old next week. We have decided that we will not pull off another tiring birthday celebration. This time it will be a real small celebration in school.
I have been explaining to her daily that her birthday is coming. I am guessing she understands the basic idea of what I have been saying.
She has been repeatedly saying, "Reena birthday cake? Sing birthday song? I want see Reena birthday cake?"
And I will show Reena the picture of her birthday cake (courtesy of the baker, my friend).
Reena will then gleam in excitement as she sings a birthday song while clapping her hands.
It seems like it was just yesterday when I had the c-section, felt her first kick, saw her in the sonogram.
And now here she is, engaging in
active conversations with me, expressing her needs and wants verbally and potty training.
I underestimate how fast time literally flies.
I am looking forward to her birthday. I am looking forward to watch her grow.
I am so happy to see her entering the next stage of her life and I pray that Reena will before making every decision big or small make a prayer to ask Allah for His guidance, help and blessings.
I love you Reena
